The International Frame Awards are open to photographers from all corners of the world, whether you are an established professional or an emerging talent. At the heart of this initiative lies a deep belief in the unique ability of photography to transcend cultural, geographical, and linguistic boundaries, giving voice to stories that inspire awareness and drive transformation.
Our mission is to spotlight compelling photographic work that addresses some of the most pressing issues of our time, with a particular focus on social injustices and environmental challenges. Each image we honor is not only a work of art but a call to reflection and, ultimately, to action.

INTERNATIONAL Frame Awards was created to bring photography back to the center of everything. Every image will be judged anonymously because the power of a photograph lies in its ability to move, inform, and provoke thought.
If you believe that photography should stand on its own, that your work should be judged solely on its merit—without filters, bias, or external influences—and if you seek a community that values authenticity, quality, and the power of visual storytelling, then you are exactly where you belong.
We firmly believe in the importance of inclusivity, but we believe it should not be reflected in the awarding of prizes, but rather in real opportunities for education and employment. Access to photography should be open to everyone, but recognition must be based on photographic merit and the significance of the stories being told.
Documentary and journalistic photography has always been a powerful tool for telling the world’s stories!
However, too often today, many recognitions are awarded without giving due importance to visual merit or the content of the stories, overshadowing what truly matters:

PARTICIPATING IS SIMPLE, BUT UNDERSTANDING THE RULES IS ESSENTIAL
The INTERNATIONAL FRAME AWARDS guidelines define the categories, selection criteria, technical requirements, and deadlines.
All projects will be reviewed anonymously by an international jury.
Before the official announcement, the authors of the selected stories will be asked to provide RAW files and all necessary information for fact-checking, in order to ensure compliance with the ethical standards of photojournalism and documentary photography.
